The District observes 13 holidays during the year. Generally, they are:

New Years Eve Day (December 31)

New Years Day (January 1)

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (3rd Monday in January)

President's Day (third Monday in February)

Memorial Day (last Monday in May)

Juneteenth (June 19th)

Independence Day (July 4)

Labor Day (first Monday in September)

Veteran's Day (November 11)

Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)

Day after Thanksgiving (fourth Friday in November)

Christmas Eve Day (December 24)

Christmas Day (December 25)

Inclement Weather Policy:

On occasion, for the safety of our staff and our customers, weather conditions or other situations may require closing or delayed opening of the District office. In the event of inclement weather, the Fountain Sanitation District typically follows the recommendation of Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 delay/closure schedule. However, each snow/weather event is evaluated according to employee safety concerns.
