Post-Aeration

Reaeration is accomplished in a single basin using diffused aeration to raise the dissolved oxygen level sufficiently to meet the 5.0 mg/1 concentration required by the discharge permit. Fine pore diffusers similar to those used in the aeration basins will be used for high oxygen transfer efficiently. A branch line from the main aeration basin air supply header supplies air.
